Nice short flight to Schipol Airport, feels like I was just here!After a pleasant train ride into centraal, a quick hop on a ferry ,
then a short walk to my fantastic hotel the NH Galaxy
Had a great time delivering a Balloon Demonstration at De Ballonnerie, what a fantastic time at an awesome premises.. JEALOUS!!
Flew back to the UK and just had time to turn around before the next one!

Guten Morgen Deutschland!

12th March.. Dorsten, Germany. I travelled to Germany by way of Schipol Airport. Good times! I arrived on the Saturday and prepped my product for a Retail Portfolio course to be held on the Sunday. The room was mostly set up already so happy days! A nice quiet evening was planned, I had dinner with a lady that was booked onto my course, she was from what was East Germany, who spoke very little English and my German leaves alot to be desired. This lead to a hilarious conversation and game of charades 
found out the next day that one of our stumbling blocks turned out to be a Parrot… So I bought a ‘papagei’ to bring home for Katie
I ended up having a couple of ’social’ drinks in the bar with some locals, turns out we were in an ex-coal mining community and we drank and talked.. and drank…. I must have made an impression as they introduced me to Korn…. and then Kuemmerling…. be warned… drink at your own peril!
The next day I delivered one of my best ever Retail Portfolio Courses! The work was of a really high standard and they got my sense of humour 
I even ended the day with a standing ovation!
Mark & Biggi took me to their favourite Greek restaurant that evening and we had a really nice time, not too late though as I had to fly out early the next morning.
Cannot wait to go back again in September!

Design Work for Qualatex Demo Days

19th February - We have a series of demonstration days throughout spring and summer for Qualatex, so we put in the design work…Rough drawings first, just random sketches… musings of a mad man perhaps 
Then time for some serious CGI! Man I love photoshop 
Very happy with the end results and the demo’s we have done are going great!

Birmingham, Spring Fair 2011

5th February 2011 – Spring Fair, Birmingham NEC.
Dom and I arrived in good time to get on with the stand décor. We were set to task on the series of string of pearl arches using 16” latex. After we got them sorted we placed the ‘explosions’ but not before I got chance to practice my balancing skills
After a lot of hard work, we finished off the deco bubble – double bubbles that criss-crossed over the centre of the stand, everyone finished their sections and the whole stand looked fantastic! I give you… team awesome
Michelle, Jodie, Linda, Dee, Jag, Emma, Mark, Debbie, Me, Dom, Sue (and John behind the camera)
I got to meet Ted J, a really nice guy with a great sense of humour! The Ted & Jag story will go down in history and Ted’s story about hitting the cow………………

Katie at her first visit to the Fun Shack on January 30th. This has led to lots more trips back with Grandma and Grandad! And lots of shouts of ‘Shack’ ‘Shack’

BGT a no go…

Well we just got word that BGT is not happening for us this year…..
A bit of a shock as we were told last week that we were going to be put through… but hey ho….
Time to refocus our efforts on what is important, more time to work on our new system!
Also we rolled out our Valentines Day gift bouquets across Facebook so we shall see how much that increases sales

All work & no play makes Jack a dull boy?

Katie is incredible! She learns so much on a daily basis that it is hard to keep up. Building with her lego (duplo), shape sorting, action songs.. I will have to add to pictures of her dancing
Lots more work on the new All Things Fun booking system, this is really going well and it is now passing balloon gig information such as The Balloon Brothers into Outlook as an appointment… this in turn is synchronising through calendars and all the way to our phones! Awesome!!!
On the play side, Fable 3 is the main game of choice, followed by Black ops, Assassins creed brotherhood and the newly added Fighters Uncaged on the Kinect, however after one session that left me dripping with sweat we will see how that goes
BGT is heading our way fast and we have ALOT of work ahead of us…

Work work work!

It’s all go as we work towards the new booking system and website.
Seems like there are not enough hours in the day to get everything we want done… done!
On top of that, BGT looms… we have 3 balloon courses to finish and a plan for more demo days in the near future.
The paintball event Carentan at Copehill Down, Salisbury is getting ever closer, will we make it? Who knows at this time.
